We haven't met before.
I don't know who you are.
I don't know the details of your circumstances,
I don't even know your real name,
All i have are mere glimpses of your thoughts and feelings,
probably masking certain things very dear to your heart.
But they do tell a lot, actually they tell everything.
I think you're a very special person.
And i really mean that, but let me tell you this...

Some people wait for others to make them happy.
Some let others set the mood and attitude of their everyday lives.
Some let others determine the whens, hows, whys,
and ifs of their lives.
But the truth is, waiting for others to decide to do things with us
risks our never doing anything at all.

Being "Dimaubusan" is a gift, but rigidity often
hampers the spontaneity of our lives.
It is not necessary to plan every second of our lives.
And even if we do, we must be willing to be surprised
at those plans and how they often take on new shape.

Kami, ang nakapangyayaring sambayanang Pilipino,

na humihingi ng tulong sa Makapangyarihang Diyos,
upang bumuo ng isang makatarungan at makataong lipunan
at magtatag ng isang Pamahalaan
nakakatawan sa aming mga mithiin at mga lunggatiin,
magtataguyod ng kabutihan sa bawat isa,
mangangalaga at magpapaunlad ng aming kamanahan,
at titiyak para saming sarili at angkanang susunod
ng mga biyaya ng kalayaan at demokrasya
